This mirrors my own experience sending letters to the editor in Wellington' daily, the Post. In particular, I submitted 2 letters on the treatment of Posey Parker who presented on women's rights in Auckland. The LBGT community appeared enmass and completely disrupted the meeting to the point she feared for her life and the police had to intervene. She then canceled her Wellington appearance and departed NZ, a win for gay community but a loss for democracy and free speech. Further, just look at the Post's cartoons. Over 70% hammer the government and many are quite nasty. By comparison. Labour's gets off very lightly while the Greens and TPM, despite all their gaffe, go almost untouched.

This is all long planned years ago so that they will have an excuse to force our rates up to extortionate levels and force people out of their homes, as has happened in Britain. Year on year Wellington itself has not maintained it's water infrastucture and it only responds to emergencies, and this has been going on for many decades while they have had the lowest rates in the region. Residents of Upper Hutt or the Wairarapa should not have to pay for Wellington's infrastructure when our council used our higher rates to maintain and keep our assets updated. Many of the ratepayers did not want anything to do with Wellington Water because they were well aware of Wellington City's track record on infrastructure issues, and it is also why the people didn't want an inefficient and expensive super council like Auckland. Wellington Water was forced upon us by the corrupt Central Government.

The council wants to invest in Green investments which is very risky and should not be done with public money. Tory's green groups feelings should not influence good sound investment policy with public money. There is a very high risk with an unsure return on investment.

I’m one of those mothers who had a child diagnosed adhd, he chose not to take meds and that’s fine, but he now knows there are tools he can use to help his symptoms if he chooses to identify with his adhd. He doesn’t want an able and I support that, however it has helped he in his I interact with him. I was wrongly diagnosed with bipolar for 17 years put on horrible drugs and was a zombie for so long. I begged them to take my bipolar diagnoses off my notes and had never had a manic episode in my life! I said I yes I have depression but I think it is adhd I’ve just been to meetings for parents of adhd children, I’m a nurse (did training 1995 so it was totally wrong!) so I’m Not dumb and after in-depth research I was sure, public health system wouldn’t assess me even though I was in the system. Took two years to go private and at 49 diagnoses of adhd combined type mid/severe was diagnosed. It was a defining moment in my life. I tried meds for a little while and it’s such a pain to even try get them them. I can’t be bothered pushing for it. So many drs are so hesitant to give them. I’ve suffered for years !waiting list to get assessed, waiting time for them to send it to psychiatrist then waiting list for the approval, then back to gp and special authority approval! 2 years all up for me and that was 4 years ago now. I need to get my two yearly review and I don’t even know how to do it! It’s a broken system and I’ve never been on the medication longer than a couple of days, just here and there. I really want to try a shorter acting medication so never took the long acting ones now I’m back to the beginning. You just give up it’s stupid. I thought wow finally I’m being heard and finally I maybe able to be a little more successful and accomplish more and not be so all over the place. Yes I have many tools I now use and I’m aware of my brain and why it works the way it works but I have not had the proper follow through or even know if another drug maybe more helpful …. I give up .
